Medical laser devices are extremely beneficial when it comes to skin health. They are used to treat conditions such as acne, skin cancer, wrinkles, hair removal, and even body fat reduction. Many people have embraced laser technology and its benefits, however there exist myths about the risks of these treatments. Additionally nitrous oxide should be available to increase comfort during a treatment.
Fact: Medical laser machines do not expose you to radiation as they don’t emit ionizing radiation. Medical lasers utilizes light energy in the visible and infrared range. Even the sun is more hazardous than medical lasers when it comes to emitting cancer causing radiation.
