Post procedure, most patients can go home and resume regular activities shortly after. Depending on the treatment area, wearing a compression garment may be recommended.

In order to see optimal results, it is important for patients to stick to their scheduled treatment plan.
There is no downtime with your EVOLVE X treatments. Patients should stay hydrated for at least the next 48 hours and avoid excessive sweating or intense exercise.

What Happens During My Treatment?
With a 4-cycle program, patients feel a gentle contraction sensation and, as the intensity slowly increases, the muscle contraction intensifies. At the end of each cycle, a proprietary recovery cycle is implemented to “warm-down” and minimize fatigue in preparation for the next cycle.
Up to four areas can be treated in one 30-minute session.

What is Allura Liposuction?
Sciton’s Allura is a minimally invasive, ultra-high-powered body contouring laser that melts unwanted fat and coagulates tissue, resulting in a tighter, slimmer body. Allura allows Dr. Desjarlais to beautifully contour your body without having to use general anesthesia or make large cuts, plus you will not have to take weeks out of your life to recover.
What Happens During My Treatment?
Your eyes will be protected with safety shields or glasses. If you desire, a mild sedative can be prescribed but this is not absolutely necessary, and all patients remain awake throughout the procedure. Doctor will make very small incisions (~2 mm) and numb the area to be treated using a cannula. Once the area is numb, a small laser will be introduced through the same small incisions. You will feel some pressure but will be comfortable. After laser treatment, he will apply suction to remove the melted fat.
Depending on your individual treatment plan, he may choose to return with the laser to tighten the tissue, although he may choose to combine the fat melting and skin tightening treatment during the first pass with the laser. Your procedure time will vary depending on the size of the area to be treated and the type of procedure performed, but typically the procedure time takes little more than two hours. All of these options will be discussed with you at the consultation.
The procedure is minimally invasive and safe. There is no need for general anesthesia and can be completed in the comfort of our office versus an operating suite.
More than one site can be treated and Dr. Desjarlais will personalize a treatment plan based on the outcomes you desire. Dr. Desjarlais and his staff may also combine your treatment with other popular aesthetic procedures to further tailor your treatment.
Allura Results and Recovery
You may experience some bruising and swelling that should resolve within a few days to a few weeks depending on the area and individual healing. You will be able to walk immediately post-procedure and able to return to activities within a few days. We will guide you on the amount of activity that is appropriate for you and will provide complete information about the post treatment care and results.
It is important to follow all the aftercare instructions. You will be provided a compression garment. Please carefully follow instructions on how to use them.

Helium Plasma Energy
Helium is normally an inert non-reactive gas, however when it is ionized with radio frequency energy it becomes very reactive to a state that scientists refer to as ‘plasma’. When the helium plasma contacts the undersurface of the skin, it tightens it instantly to a degree that is unmatched by other current technologies such as ultrasound, radio frequency, or lasers. Additionally, the helium plasma is much cooler than laser energy, making it far safer. What Happens During My Treatment?
Using local anesthesia in the in-office setting, tiny incisions are made under the chin and earlobe, through which several absorbing sutures are passed to elevate the jowls, neck, and cheeks. Then through these same incisions, a special device delivers helium plasma energy to the undersurface of the facial and neck skin tightening and sculpting it over the previously placed sutures.
The helium plasma energy not only tightens the skin immediately but also stimulates the production of collagen in the skin that continues to improve the skin tightening over the ensuing months. This procedure takes less time and the results are similar to a traditional facelift without large incisions and downtime.
Renuvion Results and Recovery
Mild swelling and light bruising can be expected after this procedure. This is usually gone in 5-7 days, however most patients are presentable in 2-3 days when normal activities can be resumed. Post procedure pain is minimal, usually relieved with over-the-counter analgesics such as Tylenol or Ibuprofen.
